The Philippine Navy (PN) reported on Tuesday that the missile frigate BRP Antonio Luna (FF-151) arrived on Monday at Singapore's Changi Naval Base for the inaugural ASEAN-India Maritime Exercise (AIME).

According to Navy spokesperson Capt. Benjo Negranza, on Tuesday, the Naval Task Group 80.5 and the ship's crew manned the rail to honor Singapore while entering Changi Naval Base.

This year's AIME will take place from May 2 to May 8.

According to Negranza, the Defense and Armed Forces Attaché, Navy Capt. Sherwin Respeto, welcomed the 140-strong PN contingent to AIME 2023.

The liaison officers from Singapore were also present to greet the Philippine contingent.

In addition to AIME, the Philippine delegation will attend the International Maritime Defense Exhibition Asia 2023, which will provide an opportunity to promote engagements and present the latest innovations in naval technology.
