The Police Regional Office 3 (PRO-3) has identified the mastermind behind the killing of a couple of online sellers who were shot by riding-in-tandem assailants in Mexico, Pampanga, on Friday, October 4.
In an interview during Dos Por Dos on Monday, PRO-3 Regional Director Gen. Rederico Maranan firmly stated that they have identified the suspects involved in the killing through the continuous investigation conducted by the police office.
He further added that the police provincial commander had spoken with the victims' relatives, which has contributed to the investigation and the identification of persons of interest.
According to the investigation, the gunmen were hired killers who have now been identified.
The Police Regional Director expressed shock upon learning that a child was present during the incident, as this could cause trauma to the child. In response, the PRO-3 Medical Unit has reached out to the six-year-old.
A 24/7 checkpoint operation in strategic locations has been implemented.
