The Philippine National Police (PNP) is currently investigating whether former President Rodrigo Duterte was among those who sheltered Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) Pastor Apollo Quiboloy while he was in hiding.
In an interview with DZRH, Davao Region Police Chief PBGen. Nicolas Torre III stated that the PNP will look into the case since the former President was appointed as the administrator of KOJC properties.
"Kung totoong may papel na lalabas 'yon na during the time na wanted na si Quiboloy e malaking sakit ng ulo ang aabutuin niya roon dahil inaamin niya na nagmeet sila," said Torre.
Torre assured the public that the PNP would act immediately if it was confirmed that Duterte had any liability in connection to obstructing the arrest of Quiboloy.
"Ibig sabihin kaharap niya si Quiboloy at ang kanyang abogado para sa kanyang kontrata regarding sa pagiging administrador. So titingnan rin namin kung may ilalabas na ganoong anggulo si former president at we will act accordingly based on the information that was determined," he furthered.
Meanwhile, several lawmakers from the House of Representatives expressed their belief that Duterte, his daughter Vice President Sara Duterte, and Senator Ronald Dela Rosa could be held liable for allegedly harboring the arrest of Quiboloy.
It can be recalled that the Vice President and Dela Rosa claimed that Quiboloy was no longer in the KOJC compound.
Authorities are currently preparing charges related to harboring the religious leader.
