The Philippine National Police (PNP) unveiled the alleged room of religious leader and self-proclaimed "appointed son of God" Apollo Quiboloy within the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) compound, where the alleged sexual abuse of victims reportedly occurred.
"This room is the bedroom of Mr. Quiboloy in the bible school," PNP-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Director PBGen. Nicolas Torre III mentioned before the Senate Committee panel on Wednesday.
Furthermore, PCol. Hansel Marantan, the Davao City Police Chief, stated that according to the narratives of the pastorals, this room is where sexual exploitation is often perpetrated.
Several ex-members of KOJC have shared their testimonies before the Senate, asserting that they were subjected to abuse by Quiboloy, a claim that he has denied.
Quiboloy is facing charges of qualified human trafficking and sexual abuse filed in separate courts located in Pasig and Quezon City.
