Oil prices went up again, save for gasoline, for the second week of October.

Shell Pilipinas and Seaoil announced that, effective 6 AM on October 8, diesel will have an added ₱1.20/liter and kerosene an additional ₱0.70/liter. The price on gasoline will remain as is.

Cleanfuel and PetroGazz will also adjust their diesel prices accordingly.

Petroleum products saw a spike due to fears emerging from mounting tensions in the Middle East. Experts have also considered US stockpiles rising beyond expectation and the conclusion of Libya’s month-long production and export blockade.
