The House of Representatives Quad Committee (Quad Comm) is requesting the presence of Alice Guo, Cassandra Ong, and Atty. Harry Roque for the joint panel's next hearing on Thursday, September 19.
Quad Comm designated Chairperson and Surigao del Norte Rep. Robert Ace Barbers said that they had already written a request letter to the Valenzuela Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 282, for Guo's presence.
Ong remains in the custody of the House and is currently detained at the Congress' detention facility.
Additionally, Roque was cited in contempt for the second time for non-compliance with the submission of the required documents. His failure to submit the documents prompted the Quad Comm to order for his arrest.
Barbers dared Roque to appear before the Committee hearings and justify his failure to comply. The former said that they have communicated with the Bureau of Immigration (BI) to request a hold departure order for the latter, as he is now considered a fugitive.
Meanwhile, the House stated that the invitation for former President Rodrigo Duterte to attend the upcoming hearings on POGOs and the extrajudicial killings still stands.
