The House Quad Committee will invite the “King of POGO” for their last hearing on POGOs this Thursday, December 12.
According to the Committee Chairman and Surigao del Norte Rep. Robert Ace Barbers, the recent revelation came after Laguna Rep. Dan Fernandez informed them of a certain Richard Lim. Sources told them that the latter is considered the King of all Kings of POGO.
Additionally, if their schedules allow, the mega panel would invite Alice Guo.
The hearing on POGOs was supposed to conclude last week, but as more information surfaced, the panel reconsidered its original termination date.
“As of the recent revelation and information na merong certain Richard Lim at tsaka certain personality na King of all Kings ng POGO,” Barbers said.
“Chairman Dan Fernandez would like us to invite this person para matapos na rin namin ito [at] ma-terminate na rin namin,” he added.
Last month, Fernandez stated that Lim acted as the frontman of the POGO businesses owned by Michael Yang. According to the former, Lim took over Yang’s POGO business, which is famous in the Chinese community.
Meanwhile, Barbers also mentioned that the panel is currently studying what actions to take with those cited in contempt. Once their hearings are terminated, the contempt order against people like former Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque would automatically be lifted.
The Committee’s last hearing will conclude tomorrow before the House of Representatives goes on its holiday break starting December 18.
