The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) has come to the aid of Traslación participants injured from the commotion at Ayala bridge earlier, during the passage of the image of the Jesus Nazarene.

Its Chairman, Dick Gordon, accompanied by his wife Kate, went over to the incident command post at the PRC Emergency Field Hospital.

The facility has doctors and nurses on duty and a capacity to serve up to 50 patients.

With a capacity to serve up to 50 patients, the emergency facility doctors and nurses are capable of carrying out minor surgeries as necessary.

As of 2:29 in the afternoon, PRC chapters and branches have extended aid to 467 patients, 27 of whom were taken to the Emergency Field Hospital.

Two patients each were rushed to the Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center, Tondo Medical Center, UP Philippine General Hospital. One patient was brought to the Philippine Orthopedic Center.

Some patients experienced difficulty in breathing; others, numbness in certain parts of the body; there were also cases of chest pain and dislocated shoulders.
