Roads around the Mendiola area will be closed on September 8, 11, and 15 to give way for the upcoming Bar Examination 2024, the Manila Public Information Office announced on Friday.
The advisory indicated that the City of Manila will implement road closures and reroutes near San Beda University on the said dates.
Starting September 8, the following roads will be closed from 2:00 AM to 7:00 PM:
- Mendiola Street - both lanes, from Peace Arch to Malacañang Gate
- Concepcion Aguila Street - both lanes from Mendiola Street cor. Jose Laurel Street
The Manila government advised the public to take alternative routes during the scheduled Bar Examination dates.

- Commercial and Taxation Laws
September 11
- Civil Law
- Labor Law
- Social Legislations
September 15
- Criminal Law
- Remedial Law
- Legal and Judicial Ethics with Practical Exercises
Additionally, in July, the Supreme Court released the list of local testing centers (LTCs) for the upcoming 2024 Bar Examinations. According to the Bar Bulletin, the exams will take place in the following areas in the National Capital Region (NCR):
- University of the Philippines-Diliman
- University of Sto. Tomas
- San Beda University
- Manila Adventist College
- University of the Philippines-Bonifacio Global City
- San Beda College-Alabang
Examinations will also be held in select locations around Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao on the same dates.
In April, the Supreme Court said that a total of 12,246 registrants had signed up for the 2024 Bar Examinations.
