Motorist may take a sigh as a minimal rollback on oil products will be implemented this Tuesday following weeks of hikes for gasoline, diesel, and kerosene.
In an advisory on Monday, Shell announced that it will adjust PHP 0.20 per liter for gasoline and diesel, and PHP 0.50 for kerosene.
Petro Gazz, Seaoil, and Cleanfuel will also implement the same changes.
The adjustments will take effect at 6 AM on Tuesday, September 26, for all the firms except for Cleanfuel which will implement the changes at 12:01 AM the same day.
The rollback comes following ten weeks of price increase for gasoline and 11 weeks for diesel and kerosene.
As of September 18, the Department of Energy (DOE) said that the price adjustment resulted in a year-to-date net increase of PHP 17.50/liter for gasoline, PHP 13.60/liter diesel, and PHP 9.94/liter for kerosene.
