Pop Star Royalty Sarah Geronimo and folk-pop band Ben&Ben are among the performers for the FIBA World Cup opening on Friday, August 25.
The popular artists have been tapped to rock the Philippine Arena before Gilas Pilipinas begins its World Cup campaign against the Dominican Republic.
This would be Geronimo's second time to perform following her performance at the World Cup draw in April held at the Philippine Arena.
Meanwhile, Ben&Ben expressed their excitement through a Facebook post with a picture of their bodies spelled FIBA.
"So excited to perform later! First time namin tumugtog sa isang basketball cup tapos FIBA pa," the OPM band wrote.
"See you later!!! LABAN PILIPINAS," they added.
The opening ceremony will take place after the match between Angola and Italy at 4 PM.
Around 55,000 seats were reserved for the crowd.
