Justin Bieber's wife, Hailey Bieber, has reached out to actress-singer Selena Gomez after the former claimed to have received death threats as a result of a dramatic "feud" between the two that was fueled by fans.
Selena briefly exited another self-imposed social media hiatus, writing in an Instagram Story that Hailey reached out to her after "receiving death threats and hateful negativity."
On her Instagram, Hailey expressed gratitude to Selena, with whom she has recently discussed how to move past the issues that have been "very difficult for everyone involved, and millions of people are seeing so much hate around this, which is extremely harmful."
Hailey stated that things can be taken out of context and urged everyone to be more mindful of what they say on social media, including herself.
Since Hailey dated and married Selena's ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber, fans have been comparing the two women.
After taking photos together at the Academy Museum Gala in October 2022, the two put any bad blood rumors to rest, but such discussions resurfaced when Hailey posted a TikTok video with Kendall Jenner and Justine Skye that fans interpreted as a dig at Selena.
Selena was receiving attention for paparazzi photos taken during a trip to Mexico at the time of the video's upload, which was quickly deleted.
As a result of that and subsequent events involving Hailey and Kylie Jenner seemingly teasing Selena's brows, Selena's Instagram follower count grew to overtake Kylie's and make her the most-followed woman on Instagram, while Hailey's fell by nearly a million.
