"Life just got better" says 30% of Filipinos in a survey conducted by the Social Weather Stations (SWS).

The survey was administered using face-to-face interviews with 1500 adults who are 18 years old and above.

Based on its findings, 30% of adult Filipinos said that the quality of life got better than the previous 12 months, while 29% says that it got worse and 41% says that it remained the same.

SWS termed those who got their lives better as Gainers, Losers for those who said that their lives got worse, and Unchanged for those who said that it remained the same.

The results gained a Net Gainers score of zero with % of Gainers minus % of Losers as its computation and classified it as fair.

SWS said that compared to June and April 2022 where it gained a -2, the October 2022 Net Gainers score has slightly increased.

However, it is still far from December 2019's score of +18.

The increase of the Net Gainers was present in Metro Manila and Balance Luzon with +9 and +8 points respectively. In Visayas, the Net Gainers stayed 'mediocre' yet increased with a score from -17 to -13. However, Mindanao went down from -7 to -11, falling from fair to mediocre.

In the same survey, another finding showed that 11.3% of Filipino families, or 2.9 million experienced involuntary hunger at least once in the past three months.

Meanwhile, 49% of Filipino families have rated themselves as poor and 21% do not feel poor, with a Borderline (between poor and not poor) of 29%.

The sampling error margins are at ±2.5% for national percentages, ±5.7% each for Metro Manila, Visayas, and Mindanao, and ±4.0% for Balance Luzon.
