Christmas came just in time for Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour staff and crew, as she generously gave out $197 million in bonuses after the two-year tour came to an end last December 8.
Over the past two years, Swift had been traveling the world with her staff and crew to bring The Eras Tour to life. A source told PEOPLE that the singer-songwriter rewarded everyone who worked on tour with her — including truck drivers, caterers, instrument techs, merch team, production staff and assistants, dancers, band, security, choreographers, and many others.
Vancouver was the tour’s final stop, marking the 149th show. During the performance, Swift expressed her gratitude and appreciation for everyone who has worked to make the tour happen, from the staff and crew who went on with the tour despite all the challenges.
“When anything was going on in their lives, they made sure that this show happened for you, and I just wanted to say that on behalf of all of us, we will never forget you giving us that moment,” Swift said.
She also thanked her fans who made plans so far in advance and who figured out the logistics just to be with them throughout the shows.
According to the New York Times, over 10 million people attended the Eras Tour, which ran from March 2023 to December 2024. Visiting 21 countries in total, with two Asian countries being: Singapore and Japan, it has been recognized as the best-selling tour of all time.
The Eras Tour, as described by the mega popstar, is a journey through the musical years of her career thus far; with each show having a three-hour running time.
"It has been the most exciting, powerful, electrifying, intense, most challenging thing I’ve ever done in my entire life,” Taylor Swift said during her last show in Vancouver.
To officially end the Eras Tour, the 14-time Grammy winner posted a compilation of her tour photos on Instagram.
“It was rare. I was there. I remember it,” Swift captioned her post.

However, this isn’t the first time that Swift gifted her team with generous amounts of money. After wrapping up the first North American leg of The Eras Tour in August 2023, she also gave them $55 million in bonuses.
