Kris Aquino is flying home to the Philippines, she confirmed in an Instagram post on Thursday, September 12.
The TV presenter and actress arrived in the United States with three diagnosed autoimmune conditions, before adding a fourth in late June of 2022. The actress named her five diagnoses, adding two of her recent conditions this year.
She added that they are waiting for the results of two more autoimmune conditions.
“I thank all of you for your prayers. MARAMING SALAMAT PO SA INYONG PATULOY NA MALASAKIT AT SUPORTA,” Kris captioned her post.
“The reason I decided to go home is because I need to start my second immunosuppressant infusions in 2-3 weeks (it’s a gentler term for chemotherapy),” she added.
Kris mentioned that she needs encouragement and unwavering faith that those closest to her, including her trusted team of doctors, can provide.
“Sadly what was the BATTLE TO IMPROVE MY HEALTH is now THE STRUGGLE TO PROTECT MY VITAL ORGANS. This is now the FIGHT OF MY LIFE,” she said.
Kris went on to thank her close friends and family, her medical team, and her son, Bimby. The people that she mentioned will be flying home with her. She will be posting a longer gratitude post once she arrives.
“Bawal sumuko. Tuloy po ang Laban,” she ended.
