Republican nominee Donald Trump has triumphed in three states: Indiana, Kentucky, And West Virginia, whereas incumbent Vice President Kamala Harris has secured a victory for the Democrats in Vermont, election information provider Edison Research announced.

Elections in the first nine US states have concluded, including swing states Georgia and North Carolina.

There are seven such states where a win would prove a genuine toss-up, namely Georgia, North Carolina, Arizona, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. Before election day, opinion polls indicated a win in any was too close to call.

Of the issues concerning voters, democracy is the most pressing one, followed by the economy. Voters who believed democracy to be at risk accounted for 73% of respondents, while 25% were assured in its security.
