Mylah Roque, the wife of former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque Jr., is no longer in the country, the Bureau of Immigration (BI) reported on Tuesday.
In a briefing at Bagong Pilipinas Ngayon, BI spokesperson Dana Sandoval said Mrs. Roque left the country for Singapore on September 3 citing a lookout bulletin issued last September 16.
On the other hand, Sandoval said that the former presidential spokesperson has not departed the country yet.
"Former spokesperson Harry Roque has no recent departure as per our record and he has an immigration lookout bulletin (ILBO) which was issued on Aug. 6,” said Sandoval.
Roque's wife was recently held in contempt by the House of Representatives Quad Committee for ignoring a subpoena, resulting in her arrest.
The committee is looking into the connections of Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs) to illegal drug trafficking and extrajudicial killings during the administration of Former President Rodrigo Duterte.
Meanwhile, the Philippine National Police (PNP) stated that its tracker teams were not holding back in their search for former spokesperson.
"We are encountering some challenges but we are not giving excuses, what we can give right now is our commitment," PNP spokesperson Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo said in a press briefing at Camp Crame, Quezon City.
"We will not stop looking for Atty. Roque but also for other wanted personalities," she added.
