A woman selling her baby was caught by the Philippine National Police Anti-Cybercrime Group (PNP-ACG) in Caloocan City.
The infant was put up for sale via a Facebook post, prompting an entrapment operation to catch the suspect, reported PNP-ACG Spokesperson Col. Wallen Mae Arancillo.
“Our cybercops engaged the person who posted the message and she later agreed to sell her baby for ₱40,000,” Arancillo said.
They agreed to meet at a lying-in clinic, where the woman was seized and the infant rescued on Tuesday.
