The recent onslaught of calamities including Typhoon Carina, Butchoy, and the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) has claimed the lives of fourteen individuals, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).
DZRH reporter Edniel Parrosa reported on Thursday that NDRRMC confirmed eight fatalities, with six more pending validation.
Among the fatalities awaiting confirmation, five were reported in Region 4-A and one in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
The eight confirmed deaths include one in Metro Manila, four in Region 9, one in Region 10, one in Region 11, and one in BARMM.
As per the latest report, a total of 51,728 individuals have been evacuated from affected areas to ensure their safety.
