The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) on Friday announced that it will release a Php 150 commemorative non-circulation coin in honor of the 150th year of the martyrdom of fathers Mariano Gomez, Jose Burgos, and Jacinto Zamora or also known as GomBurZa.
In a Facebook post, the BSP said the coin features the portraits of the three priests with markings of “REPUBLIKA NG PILIPINAS” and the denomination “150-Piso.”
On the other side, it said that the coin has markings of “EXECUTION OF THE THREE MARTYR PRIESTS" along with the BSP logo, the dedication of Dr. Jose Rizal in his novel "El Filibusterismo", the silhouette of Andres Bonifacio Monument in Caloocan City, as well as the official logo of the GomBurZa’s 150 Years of Martyrdom.
According to BSP, the coin is made of nordic gold with a diameter of 34 millimeters and a weight of 15 grams.
The GomBurZa commemorative coin can be bought for Php 2,200.
The coin is on sale starting Monday, January 16, at 1:00 pm at the BSP online store.
The BSP noted that limited stocks are available and it is on a first come, first served basis.
