Cagayan Gov. Manuel Mamba Jr. will seek help from the Department of Agriculture (DA) and President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., who currently serves as the secretary of the agency in concurrent capacity.
Mamba admitted on Wednesday, August 24, that the inclement weather brought by Severe Tropical Storm Florita affected the agriculture sector of Cagayan, particularly corn and rice plantations.
"May partial damages na na-report kami but we have to finalize this siguro in the next one to two days," Mamba said during DZRH's Dos Por Dos.
"Ang problema namin is the crop damage. Magpapatulong kami sa Department of Agriculture at kay President who is also the concurrent secretary," the governor added.
As of Wednesday, Severe Tropical Storm Florita left the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
