Cancelled flights on Tuesday, August 23 due to STS Florita

Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) announced the cancellation of some flights on Tuesday, August 23 due to inclement weather caused by severe tropical storm Florita.

In an advisory, MIAA said the following flights were canceled:

PAL Express (2P)

2P 2932/2933 Manila-Basco-Manila

CebGo (DG)

DG 6031/6032 Manila- San Jose- Manila

As of 8 AM, PAGASA said Florita has maximum sustained winds of 95 km per hour near the center, gusts of 115 km/h, and central pressure of 992 hPa. It continues to move north westward at 20 km/h.

It is expected to intensify further and make landfall on northern Isabela (coast of Palanan, Maconacon, or Divilacan) or in the vicinity of Cagayan (coast of Gattaran, Baggao, or Peñablanca) before noon or by early afternoon, according to PAGASA’s forecast.
