Catriona Gray remains a true champion for children, years after taking home the Miss Universe crown. In a fundraiser event held in support of youth education, she donned a gown with a handwritten print—of children’s aspirations.
Gray, the Philippines’ fourth Miss Universe titleholder, hosted the fundraiser Legacy ball for Young Focus, a non-government organization (NGO) which grants children access to education.
It doesn’t end there. The beauty queen took the promotion of her advocacy to a whole new level when she awed attendees in her dress printed with the dreams and hopes of her beneficiaries.
“Every child deserves to have the opportunity to dream and to have access to the resources that equip them to pursue it,” she wrote on an Instagram post.
The idea for the design came to her while “uber jetlagged,” immediately recalling Dee Javier’s love letter creations.
“I had the idea to wear a dress with the written dreams of the children of @youngfocusph. I immediately remembered seeing @ddeejavier's tear-stained love letter designs on socials,” she shared.
“Am so thrilled that @ddeejavier said yes and so beautifully executed the idea. I feel there would be no better way to step into the Legacy Gala,” she added.

Fans commended her work, with one saying, “They don’t make Miss Universe queens like this anymore,” and another calling Gray “the epitome of beauty and compassion.”
