As a testament to their unwavering devotion, several Black Nazarene devotees from various provinces traveled to Manila City to participate in the Translacion 2024.
A group of devotees called Senior Lakbay Balangay ni Sto. Entierro reportedly came long away from the Municipality of Polangui in Albay province.
Interviewed by DZRH broadcast journalist Raymund Dadpaas, a member of Senior Lakbay Balangay ni Sto. Entierro shared that they have been participating in the Black Nazarene's grand procession yearly.
"Sinimulan namin ito 2010, doon na kami nag-umpisa ng aming pakikiisa sa Translacion ng Poong Jesus Nazareno sa Basilica Minor ng Itim na Nazareno, Quiapo, Manila. Tuloy-tuloy, taon-taon na hanggang inabot na kami ng halos 10 years," he said.
The religious group members said they were praying for the welfare of their family members and fellow Filipinos.
"Para sa amin, yung pamamanata namin ay hindi na para makipagagawan sa lubid o ano. Ang ninais namin [ay] para sa kani-kaniyang pamilya rin. Ginagawa namin para sa buong bayan, lalo na sa may sakit, sa may karamdaman, kasama sila sa aming debosyon," he said.

Meanwhile, a family of three participated in the Translacion to express their gratitude for the miracle they received from the Senior.
Interviewed by DZRH broadcast journalist Boy Gonzales, the padre de pamilya shared that joining the Translacion became their devotion after the Senior had helped him and his wife bear a child.
"Hiniling ko na magkaanak kaming dalawa. Natupad naman po," he said.
The father said that it took one year for her wife to conceive, and their child is now four years old.
A 68-year-old devotee shared that she attends the Translacion annually to pray for her health and her family's welfare.
"Ako kasi ay may sakit na diabetes, marami akong sakit. Pinapanaling ko lang na good health pa rin, huwag lumala, okay pa rin ang kalusugan at ng mga pamilya ko, mga kasamahan ko sa Layko," she said.
The Black Nazarene devotee said she is thankful that she still has the strength to join the festivities.
