An Immigration Lookout Bulletin (ILBO) to monitor the whereabouts of the Office of the Vice President (OVP) officials was signed by the Department of Justice (DOJ) Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla on Wednesday.

The ILBO, relayed to the Bureau of Immigration (BI), serves to alert the DOJ to OVP officials’ attempts to exit the country, having been “deemed flight risk personalities” amid a critical probe over the Office’s alleged misuse of allotted government funds from 2022 to 2023.

The Committee on Good Government and Public Accountability panelist Rep. Joel Chua had penned Remulla a letter requesting that he issue the ILBO.

“The ILBO does not restrict the right to travel. It’s just a monitoring mechanism to see whether a listed individual has traveled or not,” Justice Assistant Secretary and Spokesperson Jose Dominic Clavano IV explained.

The secretary of justice guaranteed that his Department is steadfastly in the service of the Filipino people regardless of the status or influence of the subjects under scrutiny.

“Rest assured the DOJ will remain committed in its obligation to the Filipino people as the government's principal law agency and take necessary action, if warranted, despite the influence or status of the personalities involved,” Remulla stated.

“No one will be spared from our thrust in delivering justice for all as we guarantee the DOJ's continued cooperation with our partners in Congress in pursuit for truth and justice,” he added.

Under the ILBO are: OVP Chief of Staff Atty. Zuleika Lopez, Asst. OVP Chief of Staff and Bids and Awards Committee Chair Atty. Lemuel Ortonio, OVP Administrative and Financial Service Director Atty. Rosalynne Sanchez, OVP Special Disbursing Officer (SDO) Gina Acosta, OVP Chief Accountant Julieta Villadelrey, former Department of Education (DepEd) Asst. Secretary Sunshine Charry Fajarda, and DepEd SDO Edward Fajarda, now with the OVP.
