Robinsons Land Corporation's (RLC) current president and chief executive officer (CEO), Lance Gokongwei, has stepped down from his position.

The disclosure provided to the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE), indicated that Gokongwei will be handing the torch to Maria Socorro Isabelle “Mybelle” Aragon-Gobio this coming February 1. Despite the former’s exit from the company’s top post, the disclosure said, that he will remain as the firm’s executive chairman.

Additionally, Gokongwei's sister, Robina Gokongwei-Pe is also leaving her post as one of the firm's directors to facilitate Gobio’s appointment as RLC’s director.

On February 1st, RLC will officially welcome its first female President and CEO. Gobio’s career in RLC began in 1993 and has since risen to leadership roles in logistics, residential, and office developments.

She is currently RLC’s Senior Vice President.

Meanwhile, RLC thanked Gokongwei for his “visionary leadership” and contributions during his term as chief executive. The only son of the late tycoon John Gokongwei, assumed the position on January 8, 2024, after President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. appointed former RLC CEO, Frederick Go as the Special Assistant to the President for Investment and Economic Affairs.

Gokongwei will remain the firm’s executive chairman and provide the company with strategic guidance.
