The Lyceum of the Philippines University and National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) announced that JM Bravo is scheduled to be discharged from the hospital on Monday after his on-court collapse during the October 19 match against Arellano.
"Great news, Lyceans! John Mathew Bravo has cleared his CT scans and neurological assessment! He’s set to be discharged from Cardinal Santos Hospital tomorrow and will be back on the court soon," the LPU said in its social media post.
Bravo was rushed to the hospital after losing consciousness due to a head collision with Arellano guard Renzo Abiera, which was followed by a seizure during a match in the NCAA Season 100 men's basketball tournament.
NCAA management committee chairman Hercules Callanta earlier clarified that the incident was not connected to Bravo’s earlier spine injury and mentioned that he could return to the court if approved by the medical team.
