The mother of the 25-year-old criminology student who died due to a fraternity's hazing arrived in the country on Friday, October 20.
According to Christian Maño's report in DZRH Rapido Hataw Balita, Cheryll Bravante, who is working as a domestic helper in Oman, has arrived at Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 on Friday afternoon.
Cheryll is the mother of Ahldryn Bravante, a graduating criminology student at the Philippine College of Criminology in Manila who died after engaging in Tau Gamma Phi's initiation rights on Monday, October 16.
In a statement, Cheryll calls for justice for her son's death and a fast response to the case.
She also urged the involved suspects to yield to authorities.
Currently, six suspects among the 20 involved members of the Tau Gamma Phi are under the custody of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD).
Meanwhile, the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) promised to give the needed financial assistance to the bereaved family.
It was Monday around 6:00 p.m. when the victim was sent to Chinese General Hospital by two criminology students later known to be part of the said fraternity.
