Record label Universal Music Philippines (UMusic) has refuted the “rude” allegations against its artist, Filipino singer and songwriter Zack Tabudlo.

This comes after Tabudlo received hate on social media following a netizen's post claiming that the latter allegedly made a scene during a booked gig in Makati last Dec. 4.

In a now-deleted Twitter post, the netizen said the 20-year-old singer shouted at an organizer and walked out after he was asked to perform on stage fifteen minutes earlier than the original schedule.

“This certain individual, who was not present at the said incidents nor affiliated to the client, posted claims on social media about our artist that were false and defamatory,” UMusic Philippines said in a statement.

The music label underscored that it would not tolerate that kind of behavior against its artists.

“We are now consulting this matter with our legal team and will take legal action for the damages this individual has inflicted,” it added.

Meanwhile, Tabudlo’s father also belied the claims against his son.

“Now ako naman mag hahamon dun sa nag post about this issue kay Zack, mag labas ka video or recording na ginawa ni Zack yan ha. [Hu]wag puro kwento lang please pati yung sinabi mo na tumawag manager ni Zack sa organizer because of Zack’s bad behavior. [K]asi kami may ibidensya ng usapan nung organizer at artist manager ni Zack na nag apologize sya because of the RM na bago ni Zack at di about kay Zack,” he said in a lengthy Facebook post.

Tabudlo is a former contestant of The Voice Kids Philippines - Season 1 in 2014.

He rose to fame in 2021 when he released his single “Binibini” which became the top local song on Spotify Philippines charts as well as on international streaming platforms.

In Spotify Wrapped 2022, he emerged as the most-stream local artist in the country.
