Typhoon Betty has affected 11,264 individuals or 2,859 families in Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Western Visayas, and Cordirella Administration Region (CAR), the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) reported on Tuesday, May 30.

In its 8 AM situational report, NDRRMC said of the total number, 877 families, or 3,483 individuals are currently situated inside 21 evacuation centers while 112 families, or 381 individuals took shelter with their family relatives and friends.

In Mimaropa, Western Visayas, Central Visayas, Cagayan Valley, and Central Luzon, 1,664 families or 5,488 individuals were pre-emptively evacuated.

No casualties or fatalities have been reported so far, the agency said.

According to NDRRMC, there are five municipalities or cities that experienced power interruption, and only two have been restored.

It said that there were 222 passengers were and 122 rolling cargoes reportedly stranded due to Typhoon Betty.

Only two houses were reportedly damaged in Central Luzon one was partially damaged while the other was totally damaged.

As of 11 am, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said that Typhoon Betty has maintained its strength while it moved West northwestward over the sea of East of Batanes at 10 kilometer per hour.

Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 2 is still raised over Batanes and the northeastern portion of Cagayan including Babuyan Islands while TCWS Signal No. 1 in the rest of mainland Cagayan, the northern and eastern portions of Isabela, the eastern portion of Ilocos Norte, Apayao, the northern portion of Kalinga, and the northeastern portion of Abra.
