Davao City 1st District Representative Paolo Duterte’s drug test results indicate that the legislator is clean of illegal drugs such as Amphetamine and cocaine.
Duterte took a hair follicle drug test on October 23, taking up election rival Rep. Margarita “Migs” Nograles on her dare.
The test document, shared by Duterte’s office, shows that no trace of Amphetamine, Methamphetamine, Cocaine/Metabolites, Opiates, Extended Opiates, Phencyclidine (PCP), THC Metabolite (known also as Marijuana), and Benzodiazepines were found.
“All tests returned negative results, indicating that none of these substances were detected in Duterte’s system,” stated Duterte’s office, adding it proves he is “drug-free amidst rumors and accusations surrounding political figures.”
Duterte previously challenged PBA Partylist Rep. Nograles to undergo a hair follicle drug test as he had done in August. He had also tested negative for illegal substances then.
Nograles called his result outdated and dared him to retake the drug test with her in Davao on October 23. Duterte relented, although he was in Manila and refused to fly back to Davao to accompany Nograles.
This exchange followed Vice President Sara Duterte’s call to have Congressional candidates tested for drug use. Duterte and Nograles are both running for the Davao City 1st District Representative seat.
Nograles’ test result is yet to be revealed.
