As reported by RH Val Gonzales, Raymund Almazan said the public should not replicate his busway violation and just obey the enforced policy on public roads.
"Nagkamali talaga ako doon. Dapat na hindi pamarisan, let's just follow the rules na lang para walang problema. Especially kung sumunod lang ako sa rules, hindi sana ako hindi sana nagkaganito, may penalty pa diba?" said Almazan.
Department of Transportation (DOTr) Undersecretary Andy Ortega accepted the Meralco Bolts player's apology and noted that the DOTr is fair in implementing traffic rules for the public.
Almazan, however, did not mention the Special Action and Intelligence Committee for Transportation's (SAICT) allegation that he tried to bribe enforers who caught him and escape his violation.
Meanwhile, the transportation department will send Almazan's case to the Land Transportation Office and Philippine National Police if there are other laws violated by the Filipino athlete.
On April 15, the SAICT apprehended the PBA player after he used the EDSA busway lane and got caught on camera attempting to give money to the traffic officer.
