Kingdom of Jesus Christ founder Pastor Quiboloy will remain in the custody of the Philippine National Police (PNP) despite a court order to move the religious leader to the Quezon City jail.

The said order came from the Quezon City Regional Trial Court Branch 106, which handles the cases against Quiboloy and his four other co-accused for sexual abuse of minors.

PNP spokesperson PCol Jean Fajardo explained on Tuesday, September 10, that Pasig City Regional Trial Court Branch 159 directed the national police force to retain custody of the five individuals.

Quiboloy, Jackielyn Roy, Cresente Canada, Ingrid Canada, and Sylvia Cemañes face charges for qualified human trafficking at the Pasig court.

"We do not expect any movement today dahil nga mag-file ng comment ang PNP, probably, to inform RTC 106 that there is an existing order from the RTC sa Pasig dahil non-bailable (charges) iyon," Fajardo said during a press briefing.

"We don't want to run the risk na kapag inilipat sila doon since bailable naman at nakapag-bail na nga sila before doon, iyon ang iniiwasan natin na ma-release sila sa custody," she added.
