American singer-songwriter SZA confirmed her split with longtime manager Terrence “Punch” Henderson, a few days before the release of her album “SOS Deluxe: Lana.”
News about the musician and Punch broke out on Christmas day, following a confirmation from the singer herself. Punch, who is also the co-President of Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE), was heavily involved in the making of SZA's recent album.
After almost a year of teasing, a deluxe version of her 2022 LP “SOS” was released on December 20. However, before its release, SZA shared her conversation with her manager Punch about releasing more songs.
Fans asked the singer about the release of the tracks “PSA” and “Take You Down” via Instagram.
“Those were tracks Punch and I spoke about releasing together prior. Obviously he stepped away abruptly so sorting the drop out was a bit tricky. Pls Give me a second .. they'll be loaded," the musician responded.

Despite the abrupt split with her manager, SZA clarified that she loves Punch deeply and that no one should be attacking him or being cruel on her behalf.
“And to be clear I love Punch deeply! NO ONE should be attacking him or being cruel on my behalf. Sometimes ppl grow apart and that’s okay,” she said.
“Nothing to celebrate. The end of an era. I wish him the best whatever his choices may be,” she added.
