TNT Tropang Giga head coach Chot Reyes prepares for another high-scoring performance from Brgy. Ginebra resident import Justin Brownlee in Game Six of the 2024 PBA Governors Cup Finals.
Reyes believes that Brownlee only had an 'off night' during Game Five.
The three-time Best Import of the Conference finished with eight points in the 99-72 loss of the Gin Kings at the hands of Tropang Giga on Wednesday, November 6, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City.
"I think we are fortunate that he had an off night. We know that is not going to persist in the next game," Reyes said during a press conference after the game.
Reyes pointed out that Ginebra head coach Tim Cone benched Brownlee at the third quarter and he never returned to the court afterwards.
"Coach Tim already rested him early. Kind of preparing him for a one step backwards, two steps forward attack in the next game," Reyes said.
"We know he is going to come out hard as is the entire Ginebra team. We just need to make sure that we stay on our toes and be prepared for a big Ginebra fight back in the next game," he added.
Reyes and the Tropang Giga will seek to end the series and bring home the title on Game Six on Friday, November 8, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
