Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray chose to speak up and condemn a 'fake news' peddler on social media.

The beauty queen called out the Facebook page Pinoy History after it shared that she will be part of an upcoming movie with actor Dingdong Dantes entitled 'Papaano kung 'di namatay si Jose Rizal?'

She also addressed her mentioned name as Catriona Gray-Milby, who was reported to play Josephine Bracken.

"'Papaano kung 'di namatay si Jose Rizal?' 'yan daw ang titulo ng pelikulang pagbibidahan ni Dingdong Dantes," the page wrote, "Kasama daw sa pelikula si Catriona Gray-Milby na gagampanan ang karakter ni Josephine Bracken."

This was said to be an alleged entry of GMA Films for the upcoming Metro Manila Film Festival 2023.

She immediately left a message in the comment section to clarify the disinformation.

"Grabe naman this page, laging fake news peddler. Wala akong part ng movie na to. Name ko po, Catriona Gray - hindi pa ako married. Kaloka," she wrote.

The post also included the name of other veteran actors, Jean Garcia, Snooky Serna, Sandy Andolong, Hero Angeles at Robert Arevalo with Luis Alandy, Jason Abalos, Ariella Arida, Benjamin Alves, Yna Assistio, and Yayo Aguila.

This was after the 29-year-old beauty queen announced engagement with actor-singer Sam Milby on social media on Thursday, February 16.
