At least five regions in the Philippines have been affected by Typhoon Aghon, based on the monitoring of the Office of Civil Defense (OCD).
Usec. Ariel Nepomuceno, the OCD administrator, said that the National Capital Region, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, and Eastern Visayas suffered damages due to Typhoon Aghon.
"Halos limang regions ang ating binantayan at nakitang tinamaan lalong lalo na ang CALABARZON at yung Quezon," Neopomuceno said during DZRH's Dos Por Dos.
The OCD official said that the typhoon affected more than 27,000 individuals, and at least 2,600 evacuees remain at evacuation centers.
He added that the OCD also monitored 46 power interruptions and seven canceled flights due to the inclement weather.
Meanwhile, Nepomuceno still waits for a report on the agricultural damages amassed by the five affected regions since Typhoon Aghon started to ravage the country on Friday, May 24.
"Siguradong matindi ang apekto niyan dahil agricultural areas iyan," the Nepomuceno stressed.
