Six individuals have reportedly perished after the onslaught of Typhoon Aghon over the weekend, according to the Office of Civil Defense (OCD).
In a radio interview, OCD said they have yet to confirm the fatality from Northern Mindanao, a 14-year-old female who died from physical injury after she was hit by a collapsed tree.
They are also verifying the 5 other reported deaths from Region 4-A Calabarzon.
Seven people were also found to be injured due to the typhoon.
On the other hand, the National Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (NDRRMC) said Monday that Typhoon Aghon affected 19,373 people/
The NDRRMC explained in a situation briefing on Monday, May 27, that the latest total count comprises 8,465 families in 158 barangays in Luzon and Visayas.
State weather bureau PAGASA said Aghon may exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Wednesday afternoon or evening as a typhoon.
