The Creamline Cool Smashers parted ways with Filipina-Japanese volleyball star Risa Sato.
The Cool Smashers said on Friday, November 8, that Sato requested an early request from her contract, which will expire at the end of December.
"Creamline Management does acknowledge Risa's significant contributions to the team's success," the Cool Smashers said in a statement.
"In recognition of her many years of dedicated service to the team, we have extended our understanding and utmost consideration regarding her request, granting her certain accomodations to support her as an athlete while respecting the terms of the contract," the team added.
The Cool Smashers thanked Sato for her dedication and service.
"Her efforts and good vibes have been instrumental in our growth and success, and we hope she has gained valuable experiences during her time with us," the Cool Smashers said.
Sato played for six seasons with the Creamline franchise in the Premier Volleyball League, and won nine championships with the team.
